Welcome to Koontz Quarter Horses.  In 1954 S L Koontz began what is now  a fourth generation commitment.  Taking a good quarter horse and striving to make it better is our way of life.  Monna Koontz and Shayna Koontz are keeping the tradition that has lasted over 50 years.

Stroll through the barn and look at my show string.  Great quarter horses, outstanding bloodlines,  awesome minds and athletic bodies are found here.  Beauty and brain combined to make some of the best horses showing today.    Daughters of Flashy Zipper, Slowly Passing Breeze,Absolute Investment, Blazing Hot, Impulsions, Invitation Only, Gucci Only, Chips Hot Chocolate, Radical Rodder, Hot Impulse, Zippos After Shock, The Big Investment, The Investor, The Promoter, Hobby Horse, Red Dee Hobby,Initial Investment, Dynamic Deluxe, Sweet Fragrance and more....

S L Koontz, now 90 years of age, still attends all AQHA  shows with riders Monna and Shayna.  He has not missed a trip this year and can be found on the rail coaching.  He says he will be at the 2008 All American Quarter Horse Congress to walk in the smoke for the 2 year old Masters class.

Things change here often so visit  to learn what we are doing this week.  Click on one of the horses at the top of the page and visit the Monna, Shayna, the show string or the broodmares.  See whats in the News. Enjoy your stay.  I appreciate your time and you are always welcome back.   Thank you for stopping by my barn.
